Join us for the Black History Walking Tour of Albany, Oregon, hosted by KinCultivate in partnership with our Portland-based cousins, Oregon Black Pioneers! This tour will guide you through the untold stories of Albany’s Black pioneers, businesses, and community leaders who helped shape the city’s history. Together with Oregon’s only statewide African American historical society, we’re proud to bring these often-overlooked stories to light and celebrate the resilience and contributions of Albany’s Black community.
As the first of its kind in our city, this two-hour, 2-mile tour will start and end at Monteith Riverpark, taking you through key historical landmarks. Whether you’re a local or visiting, this is a unique opportunity to connect with the rich history of Black Oregonians. Proceeds from the tour will directly support KinCultivate’s programs, empowering Black youth in the Willamette Valley. Spots are limited, so be sure to reserve your spot early!
