GAPS High School BSU History Experience

KinCultivate is collaborating with school administrators and Black Student Union advisors at West and South Albany High Schools—part of the Greater Albany Public Schools district—to coordinate this spring learning experience for BSU members. Students will engage with the often-overlooked history of Black life in their own community through a guided walking tour and reflective conversation. This experience invites students to see their city through a new lens; building pride, connection, and a stronger sense of place.

Students and guardians should check with their school for permission slips, schedules, and additional details.

This opportunity is made possible with support from the Oregon Department of Education’s African American/Black Student Success Grant.
